Dana White has addressed Daniel Cormier’s admission about having COVID-19 heading into his final fight.
We noted on the site that his teammate tested positive for COVID-19 just six weeks before the fight. Everybody at the gym got tested and results came back negative. Cormier started to feel poorly with fatigue a few days later on July 3rd and found out he had COVID-19.

“I wouldn’t say that I wasn’t worried when [I found] out he had COVID,” White told reporters on Tuesday night (H/T to MMAFighting). “I was worried, but the doctors said he’s 100 percent healthy, he’s fine. He’ll get through this, and he’ll be able to continue to train.”
“He had already seen the doctors, and the doctors said he’s going to be fine,” the UFC exec said. “Cruised right through it, not a problem at all.”
