Conor McGregor vs. Manny Pacquiao fight rumors has been going for a year now. However, Dana White doesn’t seem interested in helping to promote it as he did for McGregor’s boxing bout with Floyd Mayweather.
Pacquiao signed with Paradigm Sports Management last year. This is interesting as the management group also represents McGregor.
Whether them being repped by the same management group means a fight will get booked remains to be seen, but both fighters have hinted at being interested in a fight. The former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion then tweeted out in 2020 that he would be fighting the boxing legend in the middle east, but didn’t give a date.
Dana White Not Interested In Conor McGregor vs. Manny Pacquiao
“I would love to see him focus on what he could do in the UFC. Whether it is taking another shot at the title against Khabib or fight for the title against somebody else if Khabib retires and then defend that title,” White told ESPN’s Brett Okamoto ahead of McGregor’s rematch with Poirier at UFC 257 (H/T to Bloody Elbow). “A boxing match with any of these guys, that sort of stuff is always going to be there. You are the absolute best in the world right now at MMA. The timing is right now. [You are] not getting any younger. I would love to see him go for it here [in UFC] in the next year.”
