Deiveson Figueiredo has just issued a challenge to Henry Cejudo.
Cejudo’s last fight saw him score a second-round TKO win over Dominick Cruz at UFC 249 in Jacksonville, Florida at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. After the fight, he vacated the flyweight and bantamweight titles. This marked his retirement fight.
Now, Figueiredo is the featherweight champion and instead of doing the fight in the division that he oversees, he wants to jump to bantamweight to make it happen.

“I’m a wrestling killer. You can see what I did with all the wrestlers that crossed my way in the UFC,” Figueiredo told Sherdog. “My game is a nightmare for the ‘Pumpkin Head,’ [Cejudo] and I’ll prove that by taking his head with me when I return to Belem. I feel very strong in the 135-pound division, so I want to test myself against him so he doesn’t have any excuses.”
