Khabib Nurmagomedov is convinced that he will be getting his dream fight against Georges St-Pierre.
It all started when Khabib’s manager recently claimed that the fighter has two bouts left – one against Justin Gaethje later this year and then he wants a fight against GSP. Well, the first fight is happening.
The UFC lightweight champion fights Gaethje at the UFC 255 pay-per-view event at a venue to be confirmed on October 24th.
Khabib Nurmagomedov On Georges St-Pierre Fight
Fast forward to Monday, Dana White said that he would entertain the idea of Khabib fighting the former welterweight and middleweight champion.
Khabib responded to Joe Rogan’s post on Instagram where he expressed his excitement about the UFC 255 fight. This is where Khabib threw out the target date of April for the GSP fight, as seen below:
Ravens POV: Khabib really believes that a fight against GSP could happen, but I still stand reframed from thinking that it’s actually a possibility. It would be a really fun fight due to the styles that both fighters bring as they’re the same. I just can’t see Dana making it happen. You also have GSP, who appears to not want to fight. We shall see.
