Paul Craig vs. Johnny Walker at light heavyweight is the newest fight to be added to the UFC’s first pay-per-view card in 2023.
Craig and Walker will square off at UFC 283, which will take place on January 21 at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil’s Jeunesse Arena, according to multiple sources familiar with the promotion’s plans. Ag Fight first reported the booking.
Craig will try to recover from Volkan Oezdemir ending his recent six-fight winning streak at UFC London in July. Before that, Nikita Krylov, Jamahal Hill, Mauricio Rua, and Gadzhimurad Antigulov were all submitted by him.
Johnny Walker to return at UFC 283
At UFC 279 in September, Walker defeated Ion Cutelaba by first-round submission to get his career back on track. The 30-year-triumph old’s couldn’t have come at a better moment for him as he entered the fight with losses in two of three and four of five, including a brutal knockout loss to Jamahal Hill in February.
Deiveson Figueiredo, the reigning flyweight champion, and Brandon Moreno, the interim champion, will square off in their fourth fight at UFC 283.
