Deontay Wilder is still interested in fighting UFC heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou.
There has long been talk of “The Predator,” who has held the gold inside the Octagon since March 2021, making a boxing debut. The Cameroonian, who has always wanted to fight in the ring, wants to be given the chance to do so while competing on MMA’s largest platform.
Wilder spoke with The Insider before to his return. The 36-year-old native of Alabama, who has been training at the UFC Performance Institute and has recently appeared on Dana White’s Contender Series, declared his willingness to face off against the heavyweight champion of the MMA powerhouse.

“It was mentioned to me before, and Al agreed,” Wilder said. “There’s the old saying, ‘If it makes dollars, it makes sense.’ And he agreed as well… I think that would be an intriguing fight, and it would be a fight that would bring a lot of interest.”
